Jacket Care
Care Guide: Denim Jackets
Our Denim Jackets
Every denim jacket we make is made in Italy from denim chosen for its weight, texture and ability to age well. Looked after properly, your jacket will soften, take on your shape and stay with you for years. These guidelines will help you keep it at its best.
Composition
98% Cotton · 2% Elastane
The cotton gives our denim jackets their structure and character. The touch of elastane lets them move with you. Elastane is sensitive to heat, so treat your jacket gently.
Care Instructions
Washing
Machine wash cold, at 30°C, on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Turn the jacket inside out and fasten all the buttons before washing.
Bleaching
Do not bleach.
Drying
Do not tumble dry. Reshape the jacket while damp and hang it on a broad hanger to dry naturally, away from direct sunlight and heat.
Ironing
Iron inside out on medium heat, ideally while the jacket is still slightly damp. Avoid ironing over buttons and trims.
Dry Cleaning
Denim jackets can be professionally dry cleaned in any solvent except trichloroethylene. We recommend a cleaner who specialises in fine garments.
Everyday Care
- Wash only when necessary. Airing your jacket between wears keeps its shape and finish.
- Remove small marks with a soft, damp cloth.
- With wear, denim softens and develops a character of its own. This is part of how quality denim ages.
Storage
- Hang your jacket on a shaped, sturdy hanger to keep the shoulders in shape.
- Store it in a cool, dry, well-ventilated wardrobe.
- Use the breathable garment bag. Avoid plastic covers, which trap moisture.
